On Thursday night, the first GOP debate of the 2016 Presidential campaign season will take place in Cleveland, Ohio.   DFNYC will be co-hosting a debate watch party to mark the occasion with our friends at Drinking Liberally.

This event will be at the venerable Rudy's Bar and Grill,  in their back patio on their giant big screen.  Rudy's is at 627 9th Avenue at 44th St.  If you haven't been there before, just go to 9th Avenue in Hells Kitchen and look for the famous big pig that guards the door.   Come join us and watch the debate live on in the safety of good progressive company!

As most of you know, Rudy's is the longtime home of Drinking Liberally, and the place with the best free hot dogs in town.  Just  be forewarned, when hearing these GOP candidates talk starts to enrage you, do not throw the hot dogs at the big screen!  Throwing popcorn or other food is fine. But not the hot dogs.  Or the Rudy's Red.  That would be insulting to the bartenders. One does *not* waste Rudy's Red on republicans!  :)

The debate is from 9 to 11 but we'll be there earlier, joining in the regular Thursday DL activities.  DFNYC's founder and former president Tracey Keij Denton, in town from across the ocean, will be joining us and I'm sure will have plenty of tales of life in Holland.

Hope to see you there!   RSVP to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to let us know if you can come so we have a head count
