This Saturday, October 8, Color of Change PAC members will be hosting a brunch and Battle Ground State Text-a-Thon for the NYC community to text black voters at the Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz Center.

From Rashad Robinson:

On Tuesday, we hosted a Vice Presidential Debate watch party along with a Text-a-Thon where we sent over 40,000 texts to Black Voters in Florida- a state with a long history of efforts to suppress the vote of Black people and progressives. Dozens showed up, shared powerful personal stories on why they’re committed to mobilizing voters, and committed to helping us reach our goal to use this powerful technology to ensure Black Lives Matter on November 8th and beyond. From now until Election Day 2016, we're doing everything we can to maximize voter outreach in Black communities and leverage our power to make a real difference in elections across the country.

This is a pivotal Black Battleground State Text-a-Thon to contact Black voters in key races and help motivate them to vote. Will you join us?

This is the time to unite and educate voters on what’s at stake up and down the ballot. We’ll be reaching out to support Black voters in battleground states like Ohio, where the Presidential race is inching closer and two critical Prosecutor races will determine the future of police accountability in Columbus and Cincinnati. Food will be provided and the tools needed to mobilize voters. All you need to bring is your laptop and a passion for creating real impact in this year’s elections. We are in a moment where we need everyone to not only exercise their right to vote- but to volunteer to text and turn out 2 million Black voters. We need your help.
